Kenneth J. Nelan is a proud Medicaid provider.
At Sacred Wandering, we believe in clear and responsible communication about all financial matters as it pertains to your healthcare needs. We do our best to collaborate with you and your insurance company to help you efficiently manage your healthcare resources, and are committed to providing the best treatment for our clients at affordable rates. We charge what is usual and customary for our area and industry, and we are willing to work with individuals on a sliding fee scale.
We encourage you to clarify your insurance benefit information prior to beginning any treatment so that you understand what portion of services will be covered by insurance and what portion will be paid privately by you (deductible, copay, coinsurance, etc…).
We are currently in network for the following insurance companies:
- Badgercare / Wisconsin Medicaid
- United Healthcare / United Medical Resources / United Behavioral Health / Optum
At the moment, we are out of network, but have applied for paneling with the following insurances:
- Athem / Blue Cross Blue Shield
- CCHP (Children’s Community Health Plan) – approved for paneling, but not yet in effect
According to federal law, Licensed Professional Counselors are not eligible to participate in Medicare at this time. There is, however, legislation before congress, which includes the possibility of LPC’s being allowed to see Medicare patients.
We are currently out of network for and have not applied to all other insurance companies. Our services are generally eligible for FSA and HSA reimbursement. If you are unsure about whether your insurance plan covers services at Sacred Wandering, please call us; Kenneth is more than willing to assist you.
Please keep in mind that all charges are the responsibility of the client regardless of insurance coverage. If coverage is denied, the financial burden falls to the client. As a service to our clients, we happily file claims with your insurance carrier on your behalf and accept their assigned benefits. We resubmit all denials and request explanation of benefits for all our clients. However, full payment for deductibles and co-pays are due at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards.
We give 48 hour reminder notices to all our client via text and email. Additionally, our clients have access to a client portal, which allows them to change their appointments as needed. However, if you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be charged a nominal fee per the fee agreement. Please be sure to make all changes well in advance.
Please speak with us for more information about our cash rates.
