Telehealth for Mental Health

We offer several HIPAA-compliant options for telehealth services, including our client portal and Zoom.

What is “Telemental Health?”

Telemental health services are mental health care services provided over a distance via telephone or videoconference.

Services can include psychotherapy, counseling, coaching, pastoral counseling, consulting, and other supplemental support services accompanying face-to-face therapy.

To qualify for telemental health services, the therapist will assess whether a client is appropriate for telehealth, including, but not limited to, consideration of the client’s psychosocial situation. Telehealth services may not be suitable for clients who are severely mentally ill or for those who pose a danger to themselves or others. Telehealth services can be suitable for those with severe personality disorders.

Telehealth technology treatment may be best suited for relatively self-reliant clients who can access additional resources as needed, have the self-discipline to complete out-of-session homework or tasks, and acknowledge the risks and limitations associated with telehealth.
